Rams tight end Davis Allen returns to game against 49ers

Los Angeles Rams tight end Davis Allen returned to play after undergoing a concussion evaluation during a game against the San Francisco 49ers on September 10. The 25-year-old player exited the contest in the third quarter following a physical collision with Dre Greenlaw and Ji’Ayir Brown. Initially carted to the locker room after leaving a medical tent, Allen eventually cleared evaluation protocols to rejoin his team. The Rams trailed 24-7 in the fourth quarter at the time of the event. The team played without rookie tight end Max Klare, who was inactive for the matchup along with the rest of the 2026 draft class. While the Rams previously cleared linebacker Omar Speights of a significant injury earlier in the game, the roster depth at tight end remained a focal point given Allen's physical style of play.
