Rangers activate Danny Jansen, designate Austin Wynns for assignment

Danny Jansen has been activated from the 60-day injured list by the Texas Rangers as of today. The team designated catcher Austin Wynns for assignment to make room on the active roster. Jansen spent time on the injured list due to an elbow issue, but has completed a rehab assignment with Round Rock, appearing in five games. Wynns was brought up to the majors when Kyle Higashioka was injured, contributing a.276 batting average in 32 plate appearances. Also, Marco Gonzales has rejected an outright assignment after being designated for assignment on Saturday, becoming a free agent.
