Rangers activate Jakob Junis and recall Jose Corniell from AAA

The Texas Rangers have activated relief pitcher Jakob Junis from the injured list and recalled righthanded pitcher Jose Corniell from AAA Round Rock on July 18, 2026. To accommodate these changes, the Rangers optioned relievers Emiliano Teodo and Gavin Collyer to AAA. Junis has been a key contributor for the Rangers and is expected to resume his role as the primary eighth-inning pitcher. The team made these moves to reinforce the bullpen after recent struggles from Teodo and Collyer in a recent game. Corniell's addition aims to provide additional depth for the upcoming matches.
