Rangers finalize loan deal for James Penrice from AEK Athens

Summary

Rangers have reached an agreement with AEK Athens to loan James Penrice, who is set to arrive in Glasgow for a medical. The 27-year-old defender is expected to provide much-needed depth at left-back, especially following an injury to Tuur Rommens. Manager Derek McInnes has emphasized the importance of enhancing squad options ahead of the upcoming domestic campaign. The move comes after Rangers' recent 1-1 draw against Jagiellonia Bialystok, which eliminated them from Europa League qualification. Penrice's performance in Greece included 20 league appearances and significant defensive contributions, helping his team maintain six clean sheets.
