Rangers place Junis on injured list, Beeks out for season

The Texas Rangers announced today that reliever Jakob Junis has been placed on the injured list due to a hip impingement. Chris Martin has been activated from the 15-day injured list to replace Junis. Additionally, Jalen Beeks will undergo season-ending surgery for a strained flexor tendon in his elbow, further depleting the Rangers' bullpen. Beeks made 29 appearances this season with a 3.81 ERA before his injury. The team is facing challenges with multiple relievers sidelined, including Robert Garcia, who is on the 60-day injured list. Junis is expected to return after the minimum time on the injured list, around the All-Star Break.
