The Texas Rangers have recalled catcher Logan O’Hoppe from AAA Round Rock and designated outfielder Jarred Kelenic for assignment. This decision follows Kelenic's underwhelming performance during his recent stint with the team, where he recorded three singles and two walks in 14 plate appearances. O’Hoppe, acquired in a trade earlier this season, had a successful run at Round Rock, posting an impressive.292 average. The Rangers hope his addition can bolster an offense that has struggled in recent weeks.
