Rangers propose trade sending Adam Fox to Hurricanes for three assets

Summary

The New York Rangers are considering a major trade proposal that would send defenseman Adam Fox to the Carolina Hurricanes. The deal would bring back Alexander Nikishin, forward Bradly Nadeau, and two first-round draft picks. Fox, signed through 2028-29 on a $66.5 million contract, remains a key piece for New York despite speculation about his status. The Rangers, coming off poor seasons, are looking to rebuild their roster and improve their competitive standing. This proposal raises questions about Fox's future in New York and whether the Hurricanes will entertain moving Nikishin.
