The Texas Rangers have released outfielder Jarred Kelenic, who lasted only seven games with the team. Signed in June after being designated for assignment by the White Sox, Kelenic struggled in the majors, collecting just one hit in eight at-bats. Despite his poor performance at the major league level, he had a strong showing in Triple-A, batting.374 with 5 home runs in 27 games. Kelenic, once a top prospect, will now seek opportunities in professional baseball.
