"Why have Rangers brought in Ivor Pandur and allowed Jack Butland to go? On the one hand a steadying influence with his experience and a spectacular shot-stopper on his day, he nevertheless has never totally convinced all Rangers fans in a defence that has been vulnerable for a number of years. Although Butland made the third most saves in the Premiership last season, he was down in eighth in terms of save percentage having been 11th the previous campaign.
