Rashee Rice faces no new NFL discipline for the 2026 season

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is expected to be available for the team's 2026 season opener against the Denver Broncos. Following previous disciplinary action regarding a 2024 hit-and-run incident and a separate probation violation involving THC, the NFL confirmed in April that no further discipline will be issued. The league considers the probation violation already addressed by previous penalties. Rice served a six-game suspension in 2025 and returned to play eight games, accumulating 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Although he faced a civil lawsuit earlier this year, his status for the start of the 2026 campaign remains unchanged. NFL insider Ian Rapoport noted that no new disciplinary measures are anticipated from the league office.
