Ravens appoint Jake Moody as kicker after Tyler Loop lands on IR

The Baltimore Ravens will have Jake Moody as their kicker for the upcoming Thursday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Moody takes over due to Tyler Loop’s placement on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least four games due to a groin injury. Moody, a former third-round pick, has seen a mix of success and challenges in his NFL career, most recently performing well with the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders. His recent performance suggests a return to form, which the Ravens hope will provide the consistency needed after Loop's struggles this season. Moody's prior connection with Ravens coach Jesse Minter might facilitate a smooth transition into this starting role.
