Ravens invest $1 million in local gun violence prevention efforts

The Baltimore Ravens have committed $1 million towards gun violence prevention, supporting six organizations engaged in crisis response and long-term recovery efforts. Announced on June 16 at the Baltimore Together summit, the investment aligns with initiatives aimed at reducing violence and strengthening communities. Ravens president Sashi Brown emphasized the organization's responsibility to aid impactful local groups. Funding will support programs such as the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement and MedStar Health’s Hospital Violence Responder program, which provides emergency assistance to victims of violence. Other beneficiaries include Everytown for Gun Safety and Roca Maryland, which works with high-risk young men to prevent violence.
