Ravens rule out Nnamdi Madubuike and Teddye Buchanan for Colts game

The Baltimore Ravens officially ruled out defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Teddye Buchanan for the Sunday season opener against the Indianapolis Colts. Both players are recovering from injuries sustained during the 2025 season. Buchanan, who tore his ACL and meniscus in his right knee last December, returned to practice in mid-August but remained limited throughout the week. Trenton Simpson will start in place of Buchanan at linebacker. The team currently has only three healthy linebackers on the active roster and is expected to elevate Carl Jones Jr. from the practice squad. Additionally, wide receiver Devontez Walker is listed as questionable with a groin injury, while Zay Flowers has been cleared to play following a hamstring issue.
