Rays celebrate ALDS sweep by playing Yankees' victory song

The Tampa Bay Rays celebrated their American League Division Series sweep over the New York Yankees on October 8, 2026, by playing the Yankees' traditional victory song, 'Theme from New York, New York,' in their clubhouse. Rays players enthusiastically sang along and performed playful antics, including Junior Caminero mimicking a broom-sweeping motion. The Rays' victory allowed them to advance to the American League Championship Series for the third time in franchise history. The team has a perfect record in previous ALCS appearances, reaching the World Series each time. The Rays await their opponent in the ALCS as the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians compete for a series spot.
