Jonathan Aranda hit a three-run home run in the 10th inning to give the Tampa Bay Rays a 6-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night. Tampa Bay (85-57) has won two straight after losing the opener of the four-game series and has the best record in the American League at 85-57. The Rangers (70-73) went into the game facing their largest deficit in the AL West race at three games.

Even with a grand slam late by Elias Diaz, the Texas Rangers still fell short against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Jonathan Aranda and Richie Palacios homered, and the Tampa Bay Rays overcame the first grand slam of the season by Texas in a 7-6 victory Friday night, ending a 10-game road losing streak against the Rangers. Elias Díaz, who had five RBIs, hit his fourth career slam to get Texas within a run in the seventh inning, but the Rangers matched their biggest AL West deficit of the season at three games.
