RB Leipzig appears set to sign Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani, potentially activating his €29 million release clause soon. Asllani previously considered waiting for a call from Barcelona, who are currently focused on Julián Álvarez as their primary target. Asllani's move to Leipzig is imminent as he has been authorized to skip Hoffenheim's preseason camp. However, Leipzig must first offload a player to create space for the incoming striker. Barcelona's indecision has allowed Leipzig to take the lead in the transfer race.

- •Barcelona remains focused on Julián Álvarez as their top target.
- •Leipzig must sell one forward to accommodate Asllani.
- •Asllani has been authorized to skip Hoffenheim’s training camp.
