RC Lens fined €25k per Ligue 1 match as Cahuzac awaits coaching certification

RC Lens will incur a €25,000 fine for each Ligue 1 match managed by new coach Yannick Cahuzac, effective immediately, as confirmed by managing director Benjamin Parrot. Cahuzac, still pursuing his professional coaching qualification, will oversee his first match tomorrow against AS Monaco. Lens had initially sought to avoid these penalties, but their request was denied due to Cahuzac's recent appointment, following two and a half years as assistant at FC Lorient. The fines apply only to Ligue 1 and not to the upcoming Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon scheduled for October 13.
