Real Betis rejects £43m bid from Manchester United for Antony

Manchester United's £43 million offer for forward Antony has been rejected by Real Betis. The rejection means United misses out on a potential immediate cash infusion of £15.3 million, as a sell-on clause was included in Antony's transfer agreement from last summer. Betis has no intention of facilitating Antony's transfer less than a year after he originally moved from Old Trafford to the Benito Villamarín on a five-year contract. Antony performed well during his loan with Betis last season, registering nine goals and five assists, which contributed to their decision to secure him for £22 million. Despite struggles at Manchester United, Antony is said to be enjoying his football at Betis.
