Real Madrid winger Alexis Ciria has been left off the club’s Champions League squad list for the current campaign. The omission follows UEFA registration requirements that prioritize academy players who have been with the club for a specific duration. Because Ciria has not met the necessary residency threshold at Valdebebas, he could only be registered via the more restrictive List A. With those positions allocated to the senior roster, Jose Mourinho was forced to omit the youngster from European competition. Despite the squad exclusion, Mourinho expects to provide Ciria with first-team opportunities during the domestic season. The player remains a candidate for appearances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey following his productive pre-season performance.
