Real Madrid excludes Ferland Mendy from official Champions League squad list
Summary

Real Madrid submitted its official Champions League squad list to UEFA without including Ferland Mendy. The 31-year-old left-back remains sidelined following a tendon injury in the rectus femoris of his right leg sustained during a La Liga match against Espanyol in May. Mendy underwent surgery for the injury and has not returned to group training sessions at Valdebebas. His absence from the 25-man A list suggests he is not expected to participate in the club's upcoming European campaign. The defender continues his recovery process away from full team activities.
