Real Madrid nearing sale of Jacobo Ortega to Strasbourg for €8 million

Real Madrid is reportedly close to finalizing the sale of 20-year-old striker Jacobo Ortega to French club Strasbourg for around €8 million. The deal would see Real retain 50% of the player’s rights, allowing them long-term control over Ortega's future. Strasbourg has emerged as the front-runner amid interest from other La Liga clubs, aided by their financial backing from the BlueCo ownership group. Ortega had a breakout season, scoring 19 goals across various competitions while drawing comparisons to Karim Benzema for his playing style. Final steps in the negotiations between the clubs are expected soon.
