Real Madrid opens contract renewal discussions with midfielder Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid has initiated contract extension talks with Jude Bellingham to secure his long-term future at the club. Although the midfielder remains under contract until 2029, the club intends to adjust his compensation to align with top earners such as Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe. This move is aimed at protecting the organization's position against potential Premier League interest ahead of 2027. Real Madrid recently cleared space in its wage structure following the departures of David Alaba, Luka Modric, and Dani Carvajal. The club views Bellingham as a central figure in its ongoing project and expects Jose Mourinho to play a significant role in the player's development after a challenging previous season. Representatives for the player are currently engaged in discussions with team officials regarding the new agreement.
