Real Madrid players receive 2026 Ballon d'Or award nominations

Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., and Marc Cucurella have been named among the final 30 candidates for the 2026 Ballon d’Or. The ceremony will take place in London this October to recognize the top individual performances from the past year. Kylian Mbappe enters the discussion following a 42-goal club campaign and a record-breaking performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he secured the Golden Boot. Other nominees from across European football include PSG trio Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Joao Neves, as well as Barcelona players Lamine Yamal, Rodri, and Pau Cubarsi. Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Erling Haaland are also included in the final shortlist for the award. The selection process highlights several players who performed for both their clubs and national teams during the 2025/26 season.
