Real Madrid prepares for summer 2027 signings in defense and midfield

Real Madrid is already mapping out its plans for reinforcements in summer 2027, targeting key positions in defense and midfield. Despite significant investment this summer, the team has struggled to compete with Barcelona, particularly in handling center-back shortages and midfield orchestration. Reports indicate the club’s priority is to acquire a top defender, especially after the exits of David Alaba and the persistent fitness issues of Eder Militao. The midfield, lacking replacements for Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, also requires attention, particularly after missing out on Rodri last summer. Key player targets could include Alessandro Bastoni, Nico Schlotterbeck, Kees Smit, and Adam Wharton.
