Real Madrid pursues Julián Álvarez after Olise deal falls through

Summary

Real Madrid has made a €150 million offer for Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid, shifting targets after Bayern Munich ruled out a sale of Michael Olise. President Florentino Pérez had intended for Olise to be the primary acquisition, but with that option unavailable, Madrid pivoted to focus on Álvarez. Olise recently scored a hat-trick for France in a 3-1 victory over Northern Ireland in a World Cup warm-up.
