Real Madrid retains Franco Mastantuono after pre-season performance

Summary

Real Madrid has changed its plans for Franco Mastantuono, deciding not to pursue a loan move after the teenager impressed Jose Mourinho during pre-season preparations. Initially, the club considered sending the Argentine out on loan to aid his development, but now views him as a potential contributor to the squad for the 2026/27 season. Mourinho’s confidence in Mastantuono has shifted the club's strategy, as they intend to help the young player adapt to European football. While a loan remains a possibility later in the season, the club is committed to nurturing Mastantuono as part of their future plans.
