Real Madrid sets €120 million price tag for Tchouameni amid United interest

Summary

Real Madrid has reportedly set a starting price of €120 million for midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, a player Manchester United views as a prime target to replace Casemiro. Manchester United has struggled to secure key signings this summer due to high asking prices, including those for Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali. The escalating costs are raising questions about the club's willingness to break their transfer record to sign Tchouameni, who is seen as an elite defensive midfielder. The outcome of United's pursuit may affect their attempts to land other targets as well.
