Real Madrid has signed 19-year-old defender Aimar Garcia on a free transfer after he left Atletico Madrid following the expiry of his contract. Garcia, who had been with Atletico Madrid's reserve team, chose not to renew his deal as he was not included in the club's future plans. Real Madrid had shown interest in Garcia for months and finalized the deal after fending off competition from Real Betis and Cagliari. He has signed a contract that extends until 2030 and will begin his career with Real Madrid's reserve team, Castilla, as they aim for promotion to Primera RFEF next season.
