Real Madrid targeting Nico Schlotterbeck with contract offer this summer

Summary

Real Madrid is preparing a contract offer for Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck. The club is focused on strengthening its defense, viewing it as the weakest area of the squad. Jose Mourinho believes adding another elite center-back and a new left-back will enhance the lineup. Schlotterbeck's release clause, estimated between €50 million and €60 million, makes him an appealing option for Madrid. The club is looking to expedite negotiations with the player and his current team.
