Receiver Montorie Foster Jr. earns spot on Seattle Seahawks 53-man roster

After spending the previous year working as a substitute teacher and pursuing a real estate license, receiver Montorie Foster Jr. has secured a spot on the Seattle Seahawks 53-man roster. Foster went undrafted out of Michigan State before joining the team for training camp, where he was previously waived with an injury designation. He spent time on the practice squad last season and returned home to Ohio for 18 weeks before earning another opportunity with the club this year. The 25-year-old receiver gained national attention during the team's appearance on "Hard Knocks" and demonstrated consistent performance throughout the preseason. Foster joins a wide receiver group that includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp, and Tory Horton. He is expected to be available for the Seattle Seahawks' season opener against the New England Patriots on Wednesday night.
