Red Bull New York acquired midfielder David Ruíz on loan from Inter Miami CF through the end of the 2026 MLS season. As part of the agreement, Inter Miami will receive $75,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money. Red Bull New York holds an option to purchase the 22-year-old Honduran international at the conclusion of the loan. Ruíz joined Inter Miami as a homegrown player in 2023 and has recorded four goals and four assists across 82 matches for the club. He was previously ranked 21st on the MLS 22 Under 22 list in 2024. Julian de Guzman, head of sport for Red Bull New York, noted the midfielder's technical quality and experience as primary reasons for the acquisition.
