Red Murdock returns to Denver Broncos practice squad

Linebacker Red Murdock has signed with the Denver Broncos practice squad after being waived during the team's final roster cutdown. The rookie was released following the preseason deadline, despite positive feedback from Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph regarding his training camp performance. Murdock, the final selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, recorded 364 tackles and 17 forced fumbles during his tenure at the University of Buffalo. Although scouts noted his coverage skills require further development, the organization opted to retain the defender for continued training within their 16-man practice squad. He joins the unit immediately as the Broncos move forward with their current roster configuration.
