Red Sox acquire Adley Rutschman from Orioles for multiple prospects

The Boston Red Sox have traded for catcher Adley Rutschman from the Baltimore Orioles on August 3, 2026. In exchange, the Red Sox sent Anthony Eyanson, Kyson Witherspoon, Endy Ezocar, Harold Rivas, and Carlos Narvaez to Baltimore. Rutschman, previously a highly touted player despite recent struggles, is expected to upgrade the Red Sox's catching position.
