Red Sox announcer apologizes after criticizing Yankees during sixteen to one loss

During the eighth inning of the final game, Red Sox radio announcer Will Flemming criticized Yankees player Jazz Chisholm Jr. for stealing bases while the Yankees held a six-run lead. Flemming suggested pitcher Jovani Moran should retaliate by hitting Austin Wells with a pitch. Yankees manager Aaron Boone stated that he personally directed Chisholm to run because the Red Sox defense failed to hold him on base. Following the game, Aaron Judge addressed the broadcast comments, stating that broadcasters should not encourage physical retaliation between players. Flemming issued a public apology to Boone regarding his remarks, and Chisholm stated he was unaware of the announcer prior to the incident.
