Adley Rutschman will begin his rehab assignment Saturday in Worcester after being on the injured list since July 20 due to left wrist inflammation. The newly acquired catcher, obtained from the Baltimore Orioles, is expected to catch five innings and get two or three at-bats. Interim manager Chad Tracy indicated that Rutschman's return to the Red Sox may take some time as he needs to build up his stamina. In Rutschman's absence, the Red Sox have been using Connor Wong and Jake Rogers behind the plate. Rogers made his first start for the team on Friday, contributing significantly to the offense.
