Red Sox consider potential All-Star Game representatives for 2026

Summary

As the 2026 MLB All-Star Game approaches, the Boston Red Sox are evaluating candidates to represent the team amid a challenging season. Despite sitting 11 games under.500, discussions highlight players like Willson Contreras at first base and outfield options Jarren Duran, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Wilyer Abreu. Pitcher Payton Tolle is also considered a strong candidate. The first round of voting is already underway, complicating the selection process as several top competitors emerge from other teams. Given the Sox's performance, it may be difficult for any player to gain sufficient votes.
