Red Sox designate Brett Harris for assignment after activating Isiah Kiner-Falefa

The Boston Red Sox designated infielder Brett Harris for assignment on Tuesday. The roster move clears space for the activation of Isiah Kiner-Falefa from the injured list. Additionally, the team placed Eduardo Rivera on the 60-day injured list and selected Jedixson Paez to the Major League roster. Harris joined the Red Sox on July 1 following a trade with the Athletics but struggled to find rhythm with Triple-A Worcester, where he batted.236 with three home runs. He made one appearance for the Red Sox during his time with the organization and remains hitless in six combined big-league appearances this season. The Red Sox now have the option to trade Harris or place him on waivers, ending his brief tenure with the club.
