The Boston Red Sox dropped their third consecutive game Friday night, falling 3-2 to the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park. Boston starter Sonny Gray took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits over six innings, moving his record to 17-5. The Royals built a 3-0 lead behind a two-run double from Carter Jensen and an RBI from Salvador Perez.
