The Boston Red Sox continue their strong performance, with a recent 21-4 record in July, while seeking to bolster their roster by trading for a shortstop before the upcoming deadline. Backup shortstop Andruw Monasterio has stepped up in Trevor Story's absence, but the team is considering three potential targets: C.J. Abrams, Zach Neto, and Otto Lopez. Story may return later this month, but the Red Sox are preparing for the possibility without him. The team recently acquired Curtis Mead from the Nationals, though he suffered a wrist injury in his second game.
