Red Sox release outfielder Matt Fraizer before Blue Jays series

Summary

The Boston Red Sox have released outfielder Matt Fraizer ahead of a four-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays, starting Monday at Rogers Centre. Fraizer, 28, has been sidelined due to injuries during much of the current season, but he performed well in 23 games for Boston's Double-A affiliate, hitting.308 with one home run.
