Red Sox set 2027 spring training schedule including West Coast trip

The Boston Red Sox released the 2027 spring training schedule, marking a return to JetBlue Park in Fort Myers. The team begins exhibition play on February 19 against Northeastern before facing the Tampa Bay Rays in their Grapefruit League opener. The schedule features 15 home games, including a matchup with the New York Yankees on March 17. A distinct change to this year's plan involves concluding the exhibition period with two games against the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park on March 22 and 23. This West Coast trip serves as final preparation before the team travels to play the Seattle Mariners for the opening series of the regular season on March 25. Manager Chad Tracy will use the spring roster, including two split-squad dates on February 22 and March 5, to evaluate prospects and non-roster invitees.
