Red Sox sit Jarren Duran against lefty Rodón, start Romy Gonzalez at DH

The Boston Red Sox exclude Jarren Duran from the lineup for their Sunday night game against the New York Yankees, opting instead for Romy Gonzalez, who returns from shoulder surgery. The game at Fenway Park features Carlos Rodón for New York and Sonny Gray for Boston. Duran has struggled recently, batting just.198 for the season, contributing to the decision to give him a rest. Interim manager Chad Tracy indicated that Duran would return to the lineup soon, especially with two right-handed pitchers upcoming in the next series against Washington. The Red Sox aim for a four-game sweep of the Yankees.
