Red Wings do not extend qualifying offer to Carter Mazur

The Detroit Red Wings did not extend a qualifying offer to prospect Carter Mazur on June 30, becoming unrestricted free agents alongside Wojciech Stachowiak, Alexandre Doucet, Michael Milne, and Jakub Rychlovsky. Defenseman Simon Edvinsson and goalie Carter Gylander received qualifying offers. Concerns over Mazur's health, as injuries sidelined him for significant time, contributed to this decision. Mazur has not registered a point in nine games with Detroit and tallied 16 points in 16 games with Grand Rapids. Rychlovsky has already agreed to return to the Czech League.
