Red Wings host development camp for draft picks at Little Caesars Arena

The Detroit Red Wings are holding their annual development camp from Monday to Thursday at the BELFOR Training Center in Little Caesars Arena. This camp is designed to help recently drafted players integrate into professional hockey through on-ice skill development and classroom sessions covering topics like nutrition and media interaction. Former players Daniel Cleary and Niklas Kronwall will provide on-ice instruction. General manager Steve Yzerman noted that the camp format will change this year, with no trip to Traverse City due to a reduced training camp length mandated by a new collective bargaining agreement. Most of the recent draft picks, including J.P. Hurlbert and Beckham Edwards, are expected to attend.
