Red Wings include young defensemen on roster, Larkin's status uncertain

The Detroit Red Wings have added three young defensemen—Anton Johansson, Axel Sandin Pellikka, and William Wallinder—to their official roster as of the 5 p.m. deadline on September 28. Dylan Larkin, who is not on the injured list yet remains in trade discussions, may play in the home opener against the New York Rangers next week. Simon Edvinsson is missing due to being unsigned, and Andreas Englund is absent as immigration issues are pending. Larkin is among 14 forwards on the roster but could face the injured list pending medical evaluations. Goalie John Gibson was sick and did not practice but is expected to return soon.
