Redding municipal golf course reopens as driving range and practice facility

The Range at Lake Redding, Redding's oldest public golf course, will reopen on October 1 as a driving range and practice area. The McConnell Foundation and golf facility manager Jason Munson have led the redevelopment, which includes greenhouse improvements and a clubhouse. The facility will focus on junior golfer development and provide short-game practice areas. Future plans include netting, lighting, and a potential nine-hole course. Initially, golfers can buy buckets of balls to practice their swings while the clubhouse gets finalized.
