Reece James ruled out for England's final group stage match against Panama

Summary

Chelsea defender Reece James will miss England's last group stage game at the World Cup against Panama due to a minor hamstring injury. Thomas Tuchel expressed surprise at James's injury after a season marked by previous setbacks. England's reliance on James's fitness has raised concerns, particularly given the absence of other natural right-backs. Tuchel noted that Jarell Quansah and Djed Spence may fill the gap left by James, but neither offers the same quality. England needs to secure victory against Panama to top Group L and advance to the knockout stage.
