Referee stops AEW All Out 2026 tag match after Steven Borden injury

AEW’s hot new star Steven Borden made his PPV debut tonight (Sept. 26) at All Out in a number one contender’s tag match, teaming up with Darby Allin against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight of the Don Callis Family. Sting Jr. is still very green, so Darby worked most of the match for their team. Once he tagged in, Borden and Kevin Knight had a showdown by climbing up opposite sides of the ring and jumping at each other for what was supposed to be a spectacular mid-air collision, similar to the viral spot Logan Paul and Ricochet did in the WWE Royal Rumble a few years ago. This one didn’t go well at all. Borden jumped earlier than Knight, and the back of his head hit the mat hard on the crash landing. AEW’s medical team quickly got in the ring to check out Borden, and the match was called off. Knight and Fletcher get the official win, and are now the new number one contenders for the AEW world tag team championship. Steven Borden just got knocked out and the ref ended the match.
