Reggie Smith, former outfielder and three-time All-Star, was inducted into the Legends of Dodger Baseball on August 15 in a pregame ceremony. The event honored Smith and three former teammates who were the first in MLB history to each hit 30 or more home runs in a single season. Smith played six of his 17 seasons with the Dodgers, hitting 32 home runs in 1977. During his speech, he emphasized the significance of this honor, recalling his appreciation for the team's history and urging the Dodgers to recognize Bill Russell and Dave Lopes, who passed away last year.
