Régis Le Bris faces midfield selection challenge ahead of season opener

Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris is considering his midfield options as the 2026/2027 season approaches. With Granit Xhaka, Habib Diarra, and Noah Sadiki still on holiday after their World Cup performances, other players like Chris Rigg and Enzo Le Fée are vying for starts. Both performed well in pre-season, with Le Fée netting a goal against Liverpool. The club must balance player rotation and address positions of concern, particularly in the midfield and wings, to optimize team performance as they prepare for their opening match against Ipswich Town.
